We are thrilled to announce that Woodhouse won ‘Business of the Year – small to medium’ and ‘South Herts Business of the Year’ at the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards 2017 ceremony, held at St Alban’s Cathedral last week.
This is an excellent recognition of our achievements as a business operating in the commercial interior design and fit out sector across Hertfordshire and beyond.
To win two awards on the night was especially rewarding considering the high calibre of finalists. Woodhouse were finalists last year and have continued to go from strength to strength over the last twelve months culminating in these two awards – a massive achievement which we’re really excited about!
The criteria met by Woodhouse, and sought by the judging panel were aspects such as: what differentiates the company’s products and services from those of competitors; managerial and financial performance; potential for growth and evidence that the business is committed to the development and well-being of it’s staff.

Our business has developed a solid understanding of the commercial interiors landscape over four decades which, over the past year, has led to the development of the ‘Smarter Workspaces’ concept. This term was coined by the Woodhouse team, and has now become an integral aspect of each and every project deliverable. The level of interest around Woodhouse’s methodology has led to a series of ‘Smarter Workspace’ events to be launched, with the first instalment taking place in June 2017. Matthew Cooper, Director of Marketing & Business Development at Woodhouse, said: “Winning the awards last Thursday marked what has been an incredible year at Woodhouse. We have successfully completed a number of exciting design and fit out projects over the last 12 months, but there has also been growth in our workforce, all supported by a long-term strategy pillared by the objective of our ‘work smarter’ strategy.
Not only would we like to thank those that nominated us from the list of finalists, but also everyone involved at Woodhouse and those supporting the work that we do, from project concept through to completion.
We would also like to thank the organisers of the awards, Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce for organising such a great evening, which provided a great opportunity to connect with other businesses across Hertfordshire”.
