Join Woodhouse for our Breakfast Seminar on 28th June

For years, we have been told that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Our team completely agree, which is why we have scheduled our first in a new ‘Smarter Workspaces’ series of events, starting on Wednesday 28th June.

The ‘Smarter Workspace’ series is a new event programme being initiated by Woodhouse to inform, educate and guide individuals and businesses around how the process of an office design and fit out can have a significant impact upon business performance. We are launching with our first session being focused around ‘Designing for Creativity’, featuring renowned workplace strategist Dr Nigel Oseland as keynote speaker to discuss ‘Designing for Creativity, Collaboration, Concentration and Contemplation’.

About Dr Nigel Oseland

Nigel draws on his own research and that of other behavioural scientists to discuss how we design working environments that foster creativity. Nigel will focus on the behavioural, cultural and physical prerequisites for creativity and expand on how social interaction leads to trust, and ultimately to collaboration. And how all of this needs to be carefully balanced with environments that facilitate concentration and contemplation.

Nigel is a workplace strategist, change manager, environmental psychologist and author with 10 years’ research and 15 years consulting experience. Beginning his career at BRE, Nigel excelled in researching the impact of the built environment on staff behaviour and performance.

He took the knowledge and experience gained and applied it to workplace design where he specialises in strategic briefing and alternative working, creating spaces that improve collaboration, enhance creativity, cope with organisational structure changes and deliver maximum value.

Nigel has worked with numerous corporate and public sector companies in his time working for DEGW, AMA Alexi Marmot Associates, Swanke Hayden Connell Architects and Johnson Controls.

His research efforts have informed European and International standards of workplace design, and has recently spoken at conferences including Workplace Trends, ANC, Healthy Buildings, Economic Times and TWN and Pure-Net.
