The brief was to design and build a complete refurbishment of Synthomer’s laboratories and associated offices. The key to the project was bringing together the laboratory areas previously scattered around the complex, into one new area where greater collaboration can drive innovation in product design. At the same time, design all of the utility and gas supply systems for ease of maintenance, flexibility and future growth.

The associated office areas were also amalgamated into two large open plan zones to maximise cross transfer of skills to encourage further innovation in the emulsion polymer market.
