Over the last year, we have been working with a FTSE 250 Professional Services Firm, to refurbish some of their spaces in the UK. Having worked in a number of locations including London, St. Albans and Sheffield, the most recent completed project was to refresh their space in Edinburgh. The existing space was looking a bit tired, and the client wanted to carry out some works that would enhance the space to create a ‘wow’ environment that would re-engage the existing staff and encourage them to come into the office.
There was also some space that was previously used for meeting rooms, but with the new design was no longer needed. This was given back to the Landlord and the remaining space partitioned off.
The new workspace is a consolidated open plan hot desking arrangement. Alongside the open plan desking, there are large tables for collaboration and impromptu team work or huddles, and more private booths for smaller meetings. These are divided by modular, flexible dividers that help with sectioning off areas, whilst retaining the open plan feel. This has encouraged staff to be more flexible and given them spaces to encourage collaboration and teamwork.
In addition, the teapoint and breakout area was redesigned with a raised bar area and high seating, and a table tennis table to facilitate socializing and staff entertainment.
The whole space is complemented by light, modern finishes, brand elements such as wall graphics and manifestations, and a planting scheme that all bring touches of life and ownership to the space.
We look forward to continuing our work with them, to consistently deliver them spaces nationwide that bring their staff together.
