Greetings from the design team here at Woodhouse! We spend our days dreaming up (and then bringing to life) beautiful, functional and inspiring workspaces that draw people together. 2025 is bringing forth some seriously cool design trends which we have explored in this blog.
Let’s be real – the way we work is constantly evolving, and so are our office spaces! The modern workplace is no longer just about desks and chairs; it's about creating environments that inspire, energise, and support our well-being. So, what’s trending in 2025? We’re talking cosy, nature-inspired hues, sustainable materials, and a hybrid-friendly layout that blurs the lines between home and the office. Let’s dive into the trends shaping workspaces this year.
2025’s workspace colours are all about Baked earth and nature-inspired tones, mixed with energizing pops of colour to boost creativity and focus.
Earthy Neutrals – Warm taupes, soft beiges, and terracotta tones for a grounded and inviting space
Muted Greens & Blues – Shades like sage green, dusty teal, and deep navy help create a calming atmosphere.
Bold Accents – Deep emerald, mustard yellow, and burnt orange used sparingly to add personality.
Sustainability is again a key focus this year, with eco-friendly and tactile materials such as wood terrazzo taking center stage. Also;
Acoustic surfaces - 2025 will see even more acoustic finishes to walls, ceilings and floors, in a bid to bring acoustic comfort to workspaces
Integrated indoor / outdoor living -The boundaries between outdoor space and our workspaces continue to merge, providing green and relaxing spaces
Art & personalisation - Pattern mixing is trending again this year. Don’t be shy of mixing contrasting patterns and colours in the same space
The modern office in 2025 is a reflection of the hybrid culture, blending a residential feel with professional settings, creating spaces that bring people together.
Flexible & modular workspaces - Moveable partitions, foldable desks, and adaptable layouts to accommodate flexible work setups
Tech-integrated space - Smart lighting, soundproof pods, and ergonomic furniture with built-in charging provide variety and ensure spaces are well used
Adaptive reuse - Eclectic furniture settings combine preloved furniture (often reupholstered), new corporate pieces and second hand finds for a bespoke look
Designers are increasingly being tasked with incorporating ‘Sensorial Design’ – Considering all of the senses when designing a space including light, smells, acoustics and tactile surfaces.
