DHL needed a new distribution hub with a range of services, including a bespoke conveyor system to carry parcels to waiting vans. The design needed to factor in the movement of packages, vehicles, employees and customers and ensure that everyone was safe and well served by the space.
Another critical issue was time; the schedule was aggressive and left little room for unexpected delays.
We collaborated closely with DHL to devise a workspace that would enable efficient distribution for many years to come. Every detail of the design, build and fit-out was carefully coordinated to ensure the deadline was met.
The workspace includes:
- Customer collection point
- Logistics hub
- Canteen and tea point
- Radiant heating and fume extraction
- Power and lighting
- Crash rail protection
